No. You keep your email address, your email service and the app you read it in. Your provider’s own spam filter keeps working. SeguraDoc adds an extra layer of checks on new email, alongside it.

SeguraDoc connects to Gmail, iCloud, Microsoft 365 and many other mailboxes. A few services, such as Proton Mail and Tuta, cannot be connected yet. Provider permissions can affect setup, and SeguraDoc tests the connection before you pay.

Most new emails get one AI-assisted check. The AI reads the sender’s name and domain, the subject and the start of the text, and the words of a few links and the footer. It answers with a score and labels from a fixed list: signs of a scam, and what kind of email it is. It is also given link-risk indicators, such as a known-bad or newly registered domain, but it does not verify where a link finally leads. Sender signatures and invoice bank-account warnings are rule checks, not AI. Rebuilding attachments happens in an isolated environment and does not judge whether a document tells the truth.

We do not keep email bodies. To check an email, we send one of the AI providers listed in our privacy policy the sender’s name and domain, the subject and up to 2,000 characters of the text. When an email is mostly pictures, we also send up to 1,000 characters of text read from them. We also send what up to 8 links show and up to 300 characters of the footer, with email addresses, web addresses and long runs of digits replaced. A link’s hidden destination is never sent to the AI; a web address written out in the text is part of the text. After an attachment is checked, the AI may be given a few fixed words about what was found, never the attachment itself. Activity history retains the sender, subject, timing and decision. We also read the To, Cc and Message-ID lines of mail you send, never its subject or text, as the privacy policy explains. Attachments are processed temporarily: originals are removed within an hour of processing, and an email attachment’s rebuilt copy as soon as your inbox no longer needs it. Reports, and the rebuilt copies of attachments checked before this change, are removed at the end of your account’s retention period.

No. AI can make mistakes, and no filter catches every scam. A sender check shows which domain signed an email, not who wrote it, and SeguraDoc does not confirm where a link finally leads. If an email asks you to pay, change bank details or sign in, check with the sender another way first.

Yes, together with them and with their permission. It is their own inbox and their own account. They stay in control: they can open their Junk folder, change settings or switch SeguraDoc off at any time. There are no family accounts, and SeguraDoc does not send alerts about their email to anyone else.

Yes. You choose whether filtering is on for each inbox and can disconnect whenever you want. SeguraDoc never deletes mail from your mailbox. It adds protection alongside your existing email provider. SeguraDoc learns from your moves to and from Junk, for that sender and for bulk mail its domain signs; your provider’s spam filter is never treated as your decision.

$10 per month for each protected inbox, including 1,000 AI-assisted email checks and 100 rebuilt PDF pages. Each inbox has its own subscription and its own limits; they are never shared between inboxes. There are no automatic overage charges.

Not exactly. Most new emails use one AI-assisted check. Emails from throwaway addresses and SeguraDoc’s own safer copies are not counted. Checking your Junk folder for wanted mail uses checks too. A check that fails on our side is given back.

At 1,000 checks, AI checks pause until your monthly limits renew. New emails are not dropped: they wait in your inbox, unchecked and never marked as clean, and are checked when they do, using the renewed limits after the email arriving then. While an email waits, its PDF attachments are not rebuilt either, even with PDF pages left; the whole email is checked at once. Only the checks made on the sender’s details keep running, such as moving mail from throwaway addresses to Junk, and they do not replace AI protection, so scams and unwanted email may stay in your inbox until then. At 100 PDF pages, attachments wait the same way and are rebuilt when the pages renew. Waiting emails count against the renewed limits, so with a large backlog some checking can wait until the next renewal. You can see what is left for each inbox in your dashboard.

No. When you connect an inbox we only test that SeguraDoc can sign in. It starts reading the inbox once the inbox’s subscription is active, and only email that arrives from then on is checked; email that arrived before is never read.

SeguraDoc stops reading the inbox, and your connection is kept so you do not need to set it up again. Its activity history and the notes that protect it are kept for 90 days after the subscription ends, then deleted. If you subscribe again, checking resumes with email that arrives from then on; mail that arrives in between is never checked. Email that arrived while your subscription was active is still checked, even if SeguraDoc had not reached it yet, and so is email that was waiting for your monthly limits. To tell the two apart, SeguraDoc reads only the date your email provider recorded for each email. An email you move into your inbox after you subscribe again is checked like new email.
