Welcome to SeguraDoc (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, dashboard, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use SeguraDoc.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use our Service. By using SeguraDoc, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Service Overview

SeguraDoc allows you to upload and process documents (the “Files”) in a secure sandbox environment. Files are stored temporarily and are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of upload. We do not guarantee permanent storage or retrieval beyond this period.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for the Files you upload.
  • You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on any third-party rights.
  • You agree not to use the Service for malware distribution, phishing, fraud, or any unlawful activity.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Data Handling & Storage

  • Files are uploaded, processed, and stored securely.
  • All uploaded Files (and any processed outputs) are automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours.
  • We do not provide long-term storage, archiving, or backup.
  • While we take reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your Files.

5. Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of your Files.
  • By uploading Files, you grant us a limited license to process them solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • All software, code, and branding of SeguraDoc remain our exclusive property.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to access or interfere with other users’ data or accounts.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or exploit the Service without our permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • Files will always be retrievable or free from loss, corruption, or deletion.
  • Processed outputs are accurate, complete, suitable, or compliant for your particular use case.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 3 months, or€50 if you use the free plan, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SeguraDoc, its owners, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service,
  • Your Files, or
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, used the Service unlawfully, or endangered our systems or users.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and your Files will be deleted in accordance with Section 4.

11. Changes to the Service & Terms

  • We may modify or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time.
  • We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms or via email.
  • Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Billing, Balance & Refunds

  • The Service is paid for with a prepaid USD processing balance. You add balance by card (Stripe) or cryptocurrency (BlockBee), and it is drawn down as you process documents at the rates shown at checkout.
  • Balance is non-withdrawable. Topped-up balance may only be used to process documents on the Service. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or cashed out to your card, bank, wallet, or any other account.
  • Refunds. Where a job fails, or fewer pages are processed than were reserved, the corresponding amount is automatically released back to your processing balance — it is not returned to your original payment method. We do not otherwise refund purchased balance except where required by law.
  • Cryptocurrency and x402 payments are final. On-chain settlements cannot be reversed; there is no refund or withdrawal path for crypto or x402 payments.
  • Balance does not expire. Unused balance stays on your account for as long as the account is open.
  • Rates can change. Our prices track what processing and AI cost us, so they may rise or fall. A new rate applies only to documents processed after it takes effect, and the rate is always shown at checkout. Your balance keeps its dollar value; a higher rate simply buys fewer pages.
